Personal Statement
There is nothing in life that feels like holding a 12-inch yellow ball and hurling it at the awaiting batter as hard as you can with hopes that it will fly past them. Softball is one of the true loves of my life. I think about it many times a day, even when I do not have practice or a game. It is something that fills my soul in multiple ways that nothing else does. I am excited to continue with this amazing sport while pursuing a degree in business in college. I enjoy community service and volunteering to help my community and others in need of help. I am a born leader and love leading a team. One of the big ways I have done so recently was in being awarded the Silver Award by Girl Scouts of America for creating an air quality program for my town.
