Personal Statement
I have been playing softball for as long as I can remember. Although my equipment has changed with time, my love for the game has been constant. As a 14 year-old playing in 16U, I have different interests than many of my teammates, but I love bonding with them on the field. I also love working on my skills outside of practice since my mother - who played shortstop on Stanford's 2001 WCWS team - taught me the value of hard work early on. Outside of softball, I also play soccer for my local club's top team. However, my #1 priority is my education. I am a straight A student in 8th grade and hope to work in finance. Playing two sports has taught me the importance of time management. I work hard, but also have fun playing the sports I love!
