The Conversation

What are you most excited about with regards to your program?

To build on last year’s success.

What jumps out at you when recruiting? What do you look for in a player?

Size, Speed, Skills. I am looking for athletes ready to make an immediate impact at a top Division III program.

What are your “pet peeves” when recruiting?

Selfishness. Low IQ plays. Slow Feet.

What is the best way interested student-athletes should get in touch with you?

Two Ways: Email and Cell Phone

What should student-athletes avoid in their messaging to college coaches?

They should avoid anything that is not direct and straight to the point with regards to their message.

How would you describe your coaching style?

Fast Paced, Next Play Mentality, High Energy

Walk us through your timeline when recruiting a student-athlete?

Ideally see player prior/in the fall of his junior year, initiate contact with him and schedule a visit for the spring. Continue contact until summer, watch him play again with either his high school or club team. Plan an overnight for the fall, have him commit soon after that.

What kind of players succeed at your program?

Blue Collar, Hard Nosed Players

Very Smooth Transition.
